Through the use of montage, documentary footage, and ‘alienating particles of reality’ interposed in the conversation, the film creatively threads together personal, social and political issues clarifying the connections between them. The couples’ awkwardness and difficulties at their first meeting serves as a microcosm for communication on a grander scale.
Premiered at the Berlin International Film Festival and was shown at the Montreal Festival of Films and Videos by Women and the Knitting Factory NYC
